Free Guided Walk with Rex Buchanan
Please join us for a guided tour of land preserved by KLT along Buck Creek in Jefferson County. Rex Buchanan, author of Kansas Geology: An Introduction to Landscapes, Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils, will lead the walk. We will explore and observe the rocky ledges along Buck Creek.
This is a primitive area with terrain with rocky slopes, tall vegetation, and wet surfaces. There are no hiking trails or restrooms. Please wear durable shoes/boots, long pants and sleeves. Please bring your preferred insect repellent. Also please bring your own water.
