Join us for a visit to this rustic Jefferson County property preserved by KLT. This land is accessible for seasonal hiking and hunting only by permission from the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism. We will explore and observe the rocky edge of Buck Creek with its exposed cliff face.
An annual favorite, the Akin Prairie Wildflower Walk takes place on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. June 2 is also our National Prairie Day. Dr. Kelly Kindscher, a KLT founder and author of Edible Wild Plants of the Prairie and Medicinal Plants of the Prairie, will lead the walk.
