Other Ways to Give

  • Large or small, all donations go towards preserving special places in Kansas. Donate here.

  • Help support KLT’s work all year round by signing up to give recurring donations. You set the frequency and duration of the donations while KLT gets the support it needs to continue protecting special places in Kansas. Sign up for our recurring donation program here.

  • If you’re 70½ or older and do not depend upon your required minimum distribution from your IRA (Individual Retirement Account) for living expenses, you may be able to make a tax-free distribution from your IRA to Kansas Land Trust. Click here to learn more about charitable rollovers (a.k.a. Qualified Charitable Distributions or “QCDs”). Your gift can be used to satisfy your required minimum distribution.

  • A gift of stock avoids capital gains taxes, offers an income tax deduction, and supports land conservation throughout Kansas.

  • A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account that donors set up with a sponsoring organization for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle because they are the easiest, and most tax-savvy way to give to charities.

  • Bequests are one of the easiest ways to make a gift to the Kansas Land Trust. A bequest is a provision in your will or living trust. It directs money or other property to specified individuals or organizations upon your death.

  • Donated land can either be permanently conserved with a conservation easement or sold to support the conservation of other properties with higher conservation values. To learn more about your options for donating land, please contact Kaitlin Stanley.

  • Planned giving can take many forms, including deferred gifts. Please contact Kaitlin Stanley, Executive Director, for more information.

Please contact director Kaitlin Stanley with any questions regarding donations and planned giving options.
